Welcome

The Bulls Head was built in 1740 and is part of the neighbouring cottages built to house the navvies constructing the Stratford Canal. Around the turn of the 18th century, it was converted into a public house and run by the same family for over 40 years. The pub is rumoured to be haunted by the ghost of a 17th century Lime Kiln worker. His name is unknown, but he is most visible during July and August. Steeped in history The Bulls Head today has not lost any of its atmosphere or character. Our excellent menu consists of a whole selection of well known favourites and exciting modern dishes, all cooked from fresh produce. Together with our real ales and quality wines, enjoy with us the ultimate British pub experience.

Facilities: Our outdoor eating area is quite large with picnic tables and approximately two acres of fields which on occasion can be hired out to campers on a short term basis. These areas have been used recently to accommodate a St Georges Day Bikers Bash, with live music and entertainment. Dogs are welcome, we are lucky to have a few walkways especially along the Canal and we encourage walkers in with their dogs to enjoy our hospitality. All dogs must be on a lead. Children of all ages are invited in although we do not have baby changing facilities and there are no specific play areas. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and vacate the premises by 9pm. We have Disabled Access and facilities.
